Florida Forestry Association Seeking Director of Forestry & Regulatory Affairs 

Tallahassee-based trade association seeks a highly motivated professional to manage and coordinate the Association’s involvement and input on regulatory and environmental policy issues as they relate to the practice of silviculture in Florida. This position also serves as the facilitator of the Florida Master Logger training program, which is designed to increase awareness and ensure compliance with forestry Best Management Practices. In addition, this position staffs various committees within the Association.

This position requires an individual who has completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field and has a minimum of five years of full-time forestry-related experience. The abilities to multitask, work independently, communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) and represent the Association on technical issues are crucial.

A competitive benefits package is offered. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Moderate in-state travel is required.
